FEATURED WEED Parsley Piert Alchemilla microcarpa WEED DESCRIPTION This low-growing winter annual spreads by seed. Look for fan-shaped leaves that alternate along the stem. Parsley piert can be a major problem on nutrient-deficient lawns or lawns that are mown too closely. CONTROL TIPS Late fall or early winter postemergence applications of Defendor® specialty herbicide are recommended to control existing parsley piert. Add Dimension® specialty herbicide to the tank to prevent additional parsley piert from germinating. You also can help manage this weed with a good fertility program and proper mowing practices.
